well·spring, ˈwel-ˌspriŋ (noun) : a source of continual or abundant supply
At The Wellspring, our vision is of a place where people might encounter God, be equipped to know and journey with Him more closely and engage the world around them with His love, grace, and life-giving message.
The Cottage is a private, self-catering, retreat space for overnight use by up to three guests, or daytime/evening use for up to five.
We organise and host a programme of Events throughout the year covering a range of activities, including spiritual retreats and quiet days, prayer and worship gatherings, creative arts and crafts, teaching and training, plus other special events.
We also offer Venue Hire to churches and other Christian groups looking to hold their own events and activities within the tranquil surroundings of the Herefordshire countryside.
So, whatever your plans, whether you're
attending one of our events in the company of friends, hiring one or more of our spaces, or just looking for some peace and quiet in the midst of all the noise, we say to your soul...
Welcome to The Wellspring!
Wellspring Cottage is a private, self-catering, retreat space; part of the converted barn, adjoining Woolpits Farmhouse.
Surrounded by rolling Herefordshire countryside, this sanctuary of solitude is sufficiently set apart from the rest of the world and is perfect for those seeking much-needed rest, tranquility, and the presence of God.

We hire out our spaces to churches and other Christian groups, for activities such as leadership away days, group retreats, bible studies, life groups, workshops, seminars, and more - all within the tranquil surroundings of the Herefordshire countryside.
We can currently cater for groups of up to around 20, depending on requirements.
Subject to availability, a booking will typically include the hire of one or more of our three spaces - the Chapel and/or the Meeting Room and/or the Cottage.
In addition to access to the terrace and garden, guests may also be invited into certain areas of the Farmhouse such as the kitchen, the dining room, or the lounge.
