Finding God in Poetry

“For we are God's "poem" (poema: in the original Greek) created in Christ Jesus.”

— Ephesians 2:10

Join Paul Hunt at The Wellspring for a gentle day of poetry, prayer and reflection, discovering how words can help us slow down, notice the world around us and become more attentive to God.

Through the poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins, R. S. Thomas, Wendell Berry and George Herbert, we will explore wonder, stillness, waiting and the welcome of divine love.

No knowledge of poetry is needed — simply come ready to pause, listen and see a little more deeply.

Retreat areas will be available both indoors and out - weather permitting. Our spaces are communal and may be shared by others who are attending the day.

Numbers are limited to 15 to ensure a peaceful atmosphere, allowing personal space for reflection.
