The Road to Emmaus
“Jesus himself came up and walked along with them.”
— Luke 24:15
Sometimes the road of faith takes us through places we did not expect — disappointment, uncertainty, unanswered questions, or the sense that things have not turned out as we hoped.
The story of the Road to Emmaus speaks powerfully into these moments.
Two disciples walk away from Jerusalem carrying their confusion and loss, unaware at first that Jesus Himself has drawn near and is walking beside them.
Join Cathy for a Quiet Day exploring what it means to recognise Jesus in the midst of our own journeys. Through teaching, reflection, prayer and time to be still, we will consider how Christ meets us in disappointment, gently opens our understanding, and helps us to see our story from His perspective.
As we learn again to trust that Jesus knows the road better than we do, may we discover fresh courage, renewed hope and the joy to continue our journey of faith with Him — confident that He holds us and walks every step beside us.
Retreat areas will be available both indoors and out - weather permitting. Our spaces are communal and may be shared by others who are attending the day.
Numbers are limited to 15 to ensure a peaceful atmosphere, allowing personal space for reflection.
